Leave the key tag at home. Type the number from it once, tap Add to Apple Wallet, and the front-desk scanner reads your phone. Works at every Mesa Rim.

Barcode type

Code 128 is the stripe on a key tag and is what the desk scanners read. Pick another only if the desk tells you to.

Open this page in Safari on your iPhone and the pass goes straight into Wallet. On a Mac it downloads a .pkpass you can open.

Where the number is

  1. On your key tag. The digits printed under the stripe are the whole barcode. Type them exactly, leading zeros included.
  2. No tag handy? Ask the front desk for your member number, or scan your tag with any barcode app and copy what it reads.
  3. Test it once. Check in at the desk with the pass while you still have the tag. If the scanner balks, it is nearly always a mistyped digit; make a new pass, it takes ten seconds.

Good to know

Does this store my number?
No. The server signs the pass in memory and sends it back. Nothing is written to a database or a log. The only copy is the one in your Wallet.
Is this a Mesa Rim app?
No. It was built by a member, for members, with Mesa Rim's blessing on the logo. Your membership itself still lives at account.mesarim.com.
Can I share it?
Share this page, not the pass. Passes are marked not-shareable, and a friend's number in your Wallet checks the wrong person in.
Android?
Apple Wallet only for now. Google Wallet needs a different signing setup; if enough people ask, it comes next.
